Updated: Mar 21, 2020

Until March 16, 2020, according to the Government of Manitoba, there are 7 cases confirmed positive in Manitoba (6 cases in Winnipeg).

The following tips are recommended by the Government of Manitoba and CDC to protect yourself and other people in the Covid-19 outbreak.

Wash your hands often:

  • Wash your hands frequently with soap and water at least 20 seconds.

  • If you don't have soap and water available, use a hand sanitizer that has at least 60% of alcohol instead.

  • Do not touch your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.

Social Distancing:

  • Avoid close contact with sick people.

  • Put a distance between you and other people at least 6 feet.

Clean and disinfect:

  • Clean and disinfect the frequently touched surface more often with household bleach/detergent.

Stay home if you're sick:

  • If you are sick, stay at home unless you need to take medical care.

Wear a mask if you're sick:

  • If you are sick, you should wear a facemask when you are around with other people to avoid spreading the covid-19.

Cover your coughs & sneezes:

  • Cover your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze with a tissue or the inside of your elbow.

  • Throw used tissue into the trash.

  • Wash your hands immediately with soap and water / 60%-alcohol sanitizer.
